How to request deletion
- Enter the email address on your Diez account and request a verification code.
- Enter the code we send to that email to confirm you own the account.
- We review and process your request.
- Your account is deleted and the data below is removed.
Once processed, you can no longer log in, and people you chatted with will see you as a deleted user. This can't be undone.
What gets deleted and what we keep
Deleted: your profile, photos, location, and the messages you sent. Your account can no longer be used to log in.
Kept: the messages the other person sent you in a conversation (that's their data), a minimal record of the deletion request itself for compliance and audit, and anonymized account identifiers so the app keeps working for everyone else.
Retention: the deletion request record is kept for audit and legal compliance. Backups are purged within about 30 days.
